Choosing Lingerie For Your Body Type
Lingerie shopping can be a daunting experience if you aren't sure about what would work best with your body. Before you go shopping for lingerie, realistically analyze and consider your figure. Without being too critical, look into the mirror and make an overall assessment about what you’re working with. Choose the areas of your body that you’re proud of and willing to bring out and be aware of areas that you’d rather downplay. Your lingerie should showcase the most appealing portions of your body while concealing areas you don’t feel quite as confident about. There are plenty of different options for lingerie style. What would work best for you depends on your body type and what you’re aiming to do with your figure.
The bust certainly gets a lot of attention, making it important to be sure that you adorn your bosom appropriately to maximize your appeal. If you have a small bust that you wish to add some volume to, try a style that brings the bust out. Halter styles can do wonders to enhance your cleavage by pulling the bust up and in. Wearing something with tiered ruffles gives volume and a sweet feminine vibe. When looking for a lift, you can’t go wrong with a push-up bra with some padding and underwire for extra support. If you feel that your build is too slim, two-piece lingerie is recommended to construct a curvy hourglass impression. Boy shorts also look great with this type of figure.
If you have a larger upper body with a tummy, your body type could be described as apple-shaped. In this case, a goal is to disguise that tummy and redirect attention to parts of your body that you feel confident about. Strategically choose differing colors for two-piece lingerie. Having a darker color for your bottom than your top slims down your tummy and balances your proportions. Drive the attention to your bust with something low-cut or a bustier to accentuate your cleavage. If you have larger breasts, bandeau styles, plunging neckline, and ruffle trims could work very well for you. Avoid padding and opt for something more subtle.
If you’re pear-shaped with bountiful hips, thighs, and buttocks that you’re looking to narrow down, this can be done with long, flowing lingerie. Gowns that drape around the upper thigh such as babydoll teddies, tunic-style tanks, and negligees cling to your curves and are useful for hiding the top bit of your thighs, especially if there are some ruffles along the hem. Corsets can also be used to draw attention upwards and take 2-3 inches from your waistline while bringing out your bust and cleavage. Boy shorts could also compliment a full bottom very nicely.
A few extra tips to keep in mind: If you’re tall, consider emphasizing the length of your legs with a garter belt. It gives a classic kind of sexy that works best with height. Darker colors are known for giving a slimming effect, so use them for any areas that you’d like to cut down or deemphasize. Lastly but most importantly, be sure to buy your lingerie in the correct size! Wearing something too tight or too loose could be uncomfortable and just won’t look as great on you as something specifically built for your body type. Be comfortable with yourself and revel in your sex appeal. When you radiate confidence, you’re irresistible.

Choosing the right pair of Nylons!
Nylons are a classic piece of fashion that can be used to spice up any regular outfit, or make a sexy addition to your favorite underwear or lingerie.
Nylon stockings can help improve your appearance drastically by masking imperfections or discoloration of the skin on the legs as well as shaping them to give them a more defined appearance. For some, nylons are nearly a must with every outfit that exposes any part of the legs.
Choosing the right pair, as well as taking care of your legs are key to making a pair of nylons work for you. One of the most important things is keeping your legs clean-shaven and moisturized to prevent at all costs unsightly hair or dry, rough skin impacting the outward appearance of your nylons. The last thing you want is to have hair poking through! Make sure you buy and use the right color and size as well. You don’t want to walk around and have worry about stockings falling down your legs! As for color, it is a matter of personal taste for most, but make sure that the color matches well with your outfit! Especially your shoes.
For more information on buying and how to wear nylons, check out beauty tips article here.
Enjoy!

The Best Bras for Summer
The heat of summer is upon us and fashion styles are bare and sheer. It’s time to rethink your bra selections. There are hundreds upon hundreds of bra styles out there -- but fear not, we at the Underfashion Club are here to help you sort through them.
A convertible bra offers you the most versatility. It gives you many options for customization while still supporting you well under a backless bodice or halter top. You can go strapless under skinny tanks, halters, or strapless tops. Additionally, cross-back and racer back bras go well with sleeveless tops, with no sign of a bra strap in view. Skip styles with lace or heavy seams for a cleaner look under fitted sleeveless tops and fine knits.
A demi bra is the perfect choice for a plunging or revealing neckline. The wide-set cups cover the nipple, while providing good support with maximum exposure. Flesh tone-colored bras are the best option when sporting pastels or wearing sheer materials like linen or silk.
If you are into outdoor activities, you might consider fighting sweat-inducing humidity by pairing summer attire with a moisture-wicking sports bra. Sports bras provide great support and comfort, while the high-tech fabric keeps you cooler and drier than most fashion bras.

Tis' the Season to go Swimsuit Shopping!!
Uh oh! It’s that time again – Women around the country will soon be scurrying about to Department Store racks performing the arduous but necessary task of the one and only: Swimsuit Shopping. Buying a swimsuit is a necessity that most women dread, but curb your fears, ladies. We, at the Underfashion Club will help you move and wade through the countless options of swimwear and help you learn how to choose the perfect cut and style for your body type – plus some tips too. Now, onto the proverbial question – How do I choose a swimsuit style??
Provided that you are in the 1% of super slim cellulite-less Americans that half of the swimsuits seem to be made for, you have quite the plethora of swimsuit options. Of course, most of us (over half of Americans are considered overweight) don’t ‘fit’ into that category – but fear not! There are plenty of ways to play up your strong points and best assets. When purchasing a suit, take the time to consider the different styles and features available so you can decide what’s right for your specific needs.
While the classic one piece has been around for longer, two-piece suits have become a favorite amongst women. There are generally more styles and cuts to choose from than any other bathing suit and with so many different styles out there, there's a suit for almost everyone.
One Piece Swimsuits
Maillot: Pronounced my-oh - Traditional one-piece suits, also known as a tank suit. These bathing suits can have a variety of tops: bandeau tops, halter or regular tank top straps. Maillots have a variety of leg openings, from high-cut to low.
Who is a maillot for?
*Women who want more coverage in a swimsuit.
*Women who want to conceal their tummy.
Fitness: One-piece swimsuits with a sleek fit (for speed) and a racer back (where the straps cross in the back) are meant for people who are more interested in swimming laps than aimlessly napping in the sun.
Who is a fitness swimsuit for?
*Any fitness enthusiast who does water exercising or competition.
*Women with athletic-builds find it particularly flattering.
Skirted: A one-piece swimsuit with a skirt attached at the hip.
Who is a skirted suit for?
* Women who would feel more comfortable with maximum thigh coverage.
* New moms and those who have recently lost weight who would like additional coverage for stretch marks/loose skin.
Monokini: Two piece-ish suit with fabric that comes down the middle of the front connecting the top and bottom. The side cut-outs vary in different degree, some more revealing than others.
Who is a monokini for?
* Women with boy-shaped bodies who want to create the illusion of curves
* Women with leaner hips that want to add some width.
Two-piece swimsuits
Triangle top bikini: As the name implies, the cups of a triangle top bikini are two triangular panels the cover the breasts. The attached ties allow the wearer to make adjustments as she wants. Triangle top bikinis are available with different types of bottoms.
Who is a triangle top bikini for?
* Curvy women who want to adjust the top to flatter their curves
* Women with boyish figures who want to visually create curves
Halter top bikini: Halter bikinis have a top that ties behind the neck. The straps are usually wider than those on a triangle top bikini and often are non- adjustable.
Who is a halter bikini for?
* Large-busted women who require more support of the breasts.
* Small-busted women who want to create cleavage.
Hipster bikini: This bikini has an exceptionally low rise -- meaning that the waist is lower to the hips.
Who is a hipster bikini for?
* Women appreciate their lower area and would like to show off their toned stomach.
* Women who appreciate the modern look of low-rise swimwear bottoms.
String bikini: One of the more flattering styles, string bikini's have strings that connect the front and back of the bottoms. It can be paired with a variety of tops.
Who is a string bikini for?
* Women wishing to create a more defined figure and curves.
* Women with larger hips that wish to be able to adjust the fit of their swim bottoms.
Tankini: A tankini is just like a tank top that is paired with bikini bottoms. The top most often comes down to the top of the waistband of the swim bottoms, similar to a shirt, so the wearer has a two-piece suit with maximum coverage.
Who is a tankini for?
* Women wishing to wear a more modest two-piece swimsuit
* Women who wish to conceal belly imperfections.
Because a swimsuit is meant to fit right against your body, the correct choosing of size is essential. So haul out that measuring tape and measure yourself in front of a mirror.
How to Measure
1. Measure your waist: Bend to one side; the crease is your natural waist. Measure your natural waist with the measuring tape snug against your body and parallel to the floor.
2. Measure your bust: Again with the measuring tape snug against your body and parallel to the floor, measure around the fullest part of your bust.
3. Measure your torso: Starting at one shoulder, wrap the measuring tape down your body, between your legs and back up your back to the point where you started.
