Underfashion on Your Big Day

When it comes to choosing intimate apparel, there aren’t many occasions that will undergo as much deliberation as when deciding on what to wear under your dress on your wedding day. This special event calls for special attention to your lingerie, and price, comfort, and style should all be taken into consideration. Keep these tips in mind while doing your shopping.

 - Set A Budget. Try to keep aware of how much you intend to spend. Expect to use around $50-$75 for a stylish and dress-appropriate set of undergarments. Good lingerie isn’t cheap and cheap lingerie isn’t good. Since you’re going to be wearing this lingerie all day, it’s extremely important to make sure it’s comfortable. Discomfort leads to irritability, which would make it difficult to sustain a good mood throughout the entire wedding.

- Make Sure It's Quality. Choose lingerie that is designed well and made with agreeable material. Make sure it isn’t too loose or tight and actually fits. Don’t let uncomfortable underwear ruin your wedding day; wear something you wouldn’t mind dancing and moving in for hours on end. When you feel good, you look beautiful.

- Make it Sexy. As much as it’s important to feel comfortable, it’s also essential that your lingerie makes you feel sexy and alluring. What you choose to wear under your dress affects how you look as much as how you feel. Your lingerie should be supportive, have invisible panty/bra lines, and compliment your shape. A corset or shapewear can do wonders for your breasts and waist. Would you rather wear pantyhose or a garter belt? The specific details of the dress must also be considered when choosing your undergarments.

-Color Co-Ordinate. Make it match in color and style. Does your dress show your back or shoulders? You’d want to get a bra that appropriately fits under your dress, since having straps peeking through can really take away from your dress and image. Stitching the edge of your bra to your dress can help prevent it from slipping out of place.

-Try Something Different. Be daring for this special occasion. Do you really want to narrow your options when you have the perfect excuse to go all out? This is a night to remember. Unique, adventurous lingerie can really make your wedding night an astonishing and unforgettable experience.
